Day 3: Olympic Donuts

Day 3: Request Olympic doughnuts from Krispy Kreme

My video explaining the concept had picked up to 50k views and I had 100 new people following my journey. I was touched. People were saying they were proud of me, and it meant the world. I was feeling more motivated than ever and today's challenge kind of excited me.

Asking for donuts in the shape of the Olympic symbol seemed comedic, almost. I genuinely thought I might even get a yes. I drove to Krispy Kreme feeling confident and prepared. When I got there I started to get a little anxious but I took a deep breath and decided to just go for it.

I walked to the counter and explained the request. There was a difference this time. While the answer was still looking like a no, I stuck around longer to explain the request, ask questions, and understand why I was getting a no. After finally accepting the rejection, I bought myself two mini donuts and headed to my car.

I felt great. Amazing even. That interaction finally didn’t leave me shaking. Maybe this was working? I ate my donuts proudly, excited to see what was in store for the next day.
